really depends,

if the dog has shots up to date and the owner is cooperative, go to a vet to verified the dog's vaccination status and a clinic to treat your wound. Many owners would be willing to pay your medical bills, if you don't report to police. Otherwise, the dog will be taken away from the family and most likely put to sleep. That's heart broken for the owner's family, if they love their dog. It's like taking a child away from parents and worse.....
