这个算不算情商比较高？

一直觉得Toto同学蛮nerdy的，但是最近发现这个人有时候还是很有点情商的。
我每次回国，他都会说，看到什么好东西，给我妈妈和姐姐带一点哦。于是我就给她们带点小东西，比如他妈妈喜欢quilting，我就跑去布料市场买几块好看的棉布；还有淘宝上价廉物美的水钻饰品等等，她们都非常喜欢。今年我生日的时候，他妈妈和姐姐分别寄来了贺卡，但是没有礼物，我也没说什么，但感觉他当时好像有点不自在，还自己拿过信封看了一下。
前几天闲聊说到什么事情，他说，我打电话时候说我妈妈了：“ I thought you would buy her something other than a card." 我诧异：啊，你这不是向她讨礼物吗？你妈妈没生气吧？他说，“没有，她好像有点尴尬，说不知道你喜欢什么，我说那你可以给她一张gift card啊。她们俩就是cheap。我姐姐也没给你礼物，肯定是问了我妈的。”
他和他妈姐姐的感情很好的，俺觉得他是故意这么说哄俺开心滴。去年我生日前Toto刚好回去看他父母，回来带来了两套Lacoste的浴巾，说是他妈给我的生日礼物。现在看来，肯定也是他硬讨过来滴
