What are the best first lines in fiction?

今天读到的这篇“the first lines in fiction”,  好感动。10几岁20几岁看了好多欧美文学，现在难得读小说，最接近的也就是回忆录，心境已过。难怪说”有花堪折直须折”。

 

现在对这些小说里面的很多理解跟多年前已经有了微妙的不同。可相同的还是那份欣喜和感动。想起了大学时从学校租书的地方租了“荆棘鸟”，为了省钱，再加上情节好看，废寝忘食，2-3天就看完了。从租书店看了好多书。

P.S.

比如说“蝴蝶梦”(英文名Rebecca)。十几岁读的原著，20几岁看的电影，一直以为从未露脸的女主角是反派。
现在的年龄才明白，不是这样的。全书塑造了一个不仅有超前女权意识，个性复杂，堪破生死的强者。
