one centimeter, I think

Long enough I can see myself.  It bothers me somehow, so I use scissors to trim it.
What do you do?
When I was in high school in China, one of my best friends always shaved her legs. She had more body hair than I did.  She said the more you shave, the stronger the hair came out later.  Is this a myth or the truth?  I have heard different views.
My daughter has strong body hair (like her dad).  I sigh every time thinking that she has a life-long of shaving to do.
