Honestly I really don't understand what they think

My kid came to me as a little chunk of meat, so soft and tender.  She totally trusted me and depended on me.  I remember those smiles she gave to me and everything else.  She is also my blood.  I always get a kick when we look for our similarities.
How can I not love her?  Even now she is a teenager, she would tell me :"mama, don't look at me.  that is creepy."  I just smile at her and say "I cannot help it.  sorry."  her teenager behavior still does not upset me.
So how can parents not love their children? I guess parents and children also need yuan fen.
