He does not consider this a "relationship" at all. You are his friend, and he likes you, but that's about it. There is a mismatch in your expectations, and that is what is making you miserable. "Keep in touch" is a phrase used among friends who do not keep frequent contact with each other. Nobody would say "keep in touch" to his love interest in an active, normal relationship. Move on and find a man who is ready to meet your expectations. He is not that person.
