First, the key is that she cannot demonstrate her sample is representative for the population of research (i.e. the inter-race marriage between Asian women and White men). The representativeness of the sample will determine the generalizability of her conclusions.
Second, she did not report the number of each sub-group, i.e. how many of the 50 interviewees come from which background. She did not report the results of each sub-groups.
Third, is this interview an open interview or a structured one? To what extend her own bias will influence the results?
