I read it one more time,

Again a great writing, and I love it. 

- “Put on” that of Sherlock Homles  - I feel that “put on” is not very good phrase to use here, “adopt” or maybe some other words is better.

-  “put on” the burden – “carry” the burden is much better.

-  Cocaine – cocaine.

-  To be that great of a detective – I feel something is wrong with this sentence, may be “to be such a great detective”

 I could be wrong, just take it with a grain of salt. Thanks!
