Once she said to me, "You haven't improved at all but only on the tricks of expression", I thought twice and accepted it. 

Sluggish progress is the nature of English learning per se, no matter how powerful the engine is, the train still hardly revs up. That's OK. 谁让我们是真喜欢呢，是不？
