Several steps on Shadowing language learning method (for a Chinese learning English as an example):
1. Blind shadowing - listening and repeating (the audio/video) what you've heard;
2. Listening and Speaking by looking at the corresponding the Chinese - for a global understanding of the meaning of the sentence, not necessarily word by word;
3. Read the English language - can refer to Chinese tran, but read the English version;
4. Read and try to think the whole sentence in English (even you know little of the languae, try to think or the sound you've heard of);
5. Sit down and analyze the whole structure of the sentence including the words;
6. Writing down the text.
