another teacher was even more amazing

the whole semester, he repeated these two words 'you know' in chinese. i was so young at the time and i had never been out of my hometown before college. when he was saying 'you know', i was waiting for the rest of the sentence, like 'you know something etc' or 'you know that...'. but that 'something etc' was never uttered from his mouth. i did not realize what he meant by 'you know' until i came to usa.
