ZT 学习英语迷惑（四）- 语法不好？

症结所在：从小到大的应试教育让我们视英语为学问，视语法为一切。语法给我们设置了太多的条条框框。对语法规则的尊重和顾忌为我们的自由表达设置了巨大的障碍。其实，研究语法适合专业的英语研究者，对于大多数人来说，英语不过是交流工具。我们小时候学习汉语的经历应该给我们一些有益的启示，那就是，虽然不懂语法，不识汉字，不懂拼音，但是通过各种生活情景，却能把声音和意思联系在一起，和父母顺利交流。此外，日常口语中经常有不符合语法规则的情况出现，却根本不影响交流。更何况，英语并非我们的母语，口语表达中出现一些小错误在所难免，不必过于紧张。例如，第三人称单数，he和she的区分等。

成功良方：在表达过程中，我们不要刻意追求语法的正确与否，而应该暂时忘记语法规则，鼓励自己尽情表达。试图通过学习语法练习口语是天方夜谭，反之，语法会在不断练习的过程中潜移默化，不断加强。

Diagnosis: We have taken English grammar as everything since childhood. Unfortunately, thinking too much about grammatical rules happens to create barriers for free expression_r_r. For most people, English should be a tool not a profession. Think about our experience of learning Chinese when we were children. Back then, we did not understand grammar, characters or Pinyin, but we were able to make a connection between sound and meaning to talk freely with our parents. English is not our native language, so don’t be too concerned about some minor mistakes in our expression_r_r, e.g. third person singular form, difference between he and she etc.

Successful Tip: When we speak, instead of being too concerned about being grammatically correct, we should temporarily forget about those rules, and feel confident to speak up. Learning grammar alone will not help with spoken English. Grammar will come along through practice.
