学一个词: Cold Turkey (美语听力) ZT



今天我们要学的词是cold turkey。

星期四是感恩节，我们也来说火鸡。不过，cold turkey, 可不是冷火鸡的意思，而是指突然停止某些已经成瘾的坏习惯。

"He quit heavy drinking cold turkey,"
他没靠任何帮助，断然戒掉了酗酒的恶习。

"My friend Jack quit smoking cold turkey two years ago,"
我朋友Jack两年前说戒就毅然决然地戒了烟。

"After losing his house, he quit gambling cold turkey,"
把房子输掉后，他一狠心，断然戒掉了爱赌博的毛病。

好的，今天我们学习的词是cold turkey...
