True and new sounds very almost the same to me

true sounds like /lu:/ rather than /tru:/ and new sounds like /nu:/ rather than /nyu:/

Cave sounds like /kiv/ rather than /keiv/

Pirates sounds like /pereit/ rather than /paireit/
