“Lady of Astor” by John Singer Sargent

背景的主黑色，和人物的浅色调 depicts a strong contrast, which suggests the elegance, vitality, intelligence, and distinction of the portrait.
Her posture and Laces are handsomely detailed with small brushstrokes.
For me, such treatments add the romantic notion of the lovely lady.
