我只用大概7分钟不到就写完了这篇短文并把它和我的两位老板分享。我觉得这个英文版本好过我的中文版本。
What a Mess When the Daddy is Not Home
The first thing the kids did right after saying goodbye to their daddy is to set up x-box.
Then when dinner was ready I called them loud and they come along all the way laughing (for what? I don’t know). The laughing extended right into the middle of dinner and ran out of control. I clapped the table hard and said: stop it! or you choke yourself I will have to call 911!
I fired a little too late because my older son started to cough and sneeze.
“Why are you sneezing?” I asked.
“Some noodle got into my noses” he replied.
“I told you!” I was furious.
“From where did the noodle get into your noses? Outside?” I was hoping the answer was yes.
“No mom, it was from inside.”
“Oh my goodness!”
“No worry mom, I won’t die.”
…..
Over the weekend I was nothing but the professional taxi-driver of my kids – Whatever you say, wherever you go, I will be right here waiting for you ….
Sorry I just can’t help sharing this …
老板的回复:
that is so funny – thanks for the laugh. I am still laughing…….
Kids certainly don’t come with a set of instructions, do they.
Oh, the memories of what my brothers and I did to our mom. And we all three grew up without issues.
女老板事后特意到我的工作台来说,这是她近来听的最好玩 (funniest)的故事。
