"Kindness begets kindness" means that acts of kindness, generosity, or consideration tend to inspire similar positive behavior in return, creating a cycle of goodwill. It suggests that when you treat others well, they are more likely to reciprocate, similar to the concept of "as you sow, so shall you reap".
It promotes proactive and positive actions, is a timeless proverb highlighting that kindness is rarely wasted and usually brings more kindness back to the giver.
The concept is often attributed to the ancient Greek playwright Sophocles, who stated, "Kindness gives birth to kindness".

I know we have discussed this proverb before. What prompted me to use it again is a real life experience that just happened two days ago.
It was around noon, and hubby saw some very young children with a few adults walking away from our small street. Then he found a hand-made card in our mailbox.
It was from the elementary school nearby, made and delivered by the kids from the kindergarten class (see pics below).
The card and warm words on it moved me deeply. So I went to the school office the next morning, and told the teacher in the office that I would like to meet these children.
I want the kids to know their kindness touched my heart and begat my kindness; I want them to know the world is a beautiful place with kind people inside; I want them to know my own childhood stories, and how the fairytale book I read when I was their age kept me believing in kindness, even at the most difficult times in my life. Mostly, I want them to see the real result of their kindness.
Yes, we all know how complicated real life can be, and how divided the world is currently. But, if young children don't believe in kindness, there would be no future for mankind ... ...
Kindness begets kindness. Wish your weekend is touched with kindness!
