   to have a romantic relationship with someone significantly younger

 

Examples

   1) Some people might say she's robbing the cradle with that age gap in their

      relationship.

   2) It's quite controversial when older celebrities or public figures choose

      to rob the cradle and date individuals half their age.

 

Etymology

   The term likely evolved from the literal act of stealing from a cradle, which

   symbolizes taking something vulnerable and innocent.
