Happy Thanksgiving to Canadians friends!
Let's have a virtual Venice trip to celebrate the special holiday!
Right after I stepped out of the train station in Venice, I suddenly felt surrounded by water. It reminded me of my childhood---after a heavy storm, the buildings and roads would be covered by rainwater.
Gondola is the heartbeat of Venice. When I stepped on the gondola, I could feel the rhythm of Venice. The gondolier, who was born in Venice, said the buildings around the canal were about 700 years old. The gondolier was very skillful at controlling the gondola which always narrowly escaped the walls around each corner.
BTW, don't forget to bring a 220v-to-110v adapter. I bought an adapter at a small shop next to the train station, but it turned out it didn't work..
Here are the pictures I took.
