"Nectar of the gods" is rooted in Greek mythology, referring to the drink of the gods, which conferred immortality, divine favor, and spiritual nourishment. It is often paired with ambrosia, the food of the gods, and together they represent eternal youth and bliss for the deities on Mount Olympus.
The term is also used metaphorically to describe something exceptionally delicious, pure, or life-sustaining, such as mead or even the "sweet rain of Dharma" in Buddhist teachings.

I have always loved fruits and can never have enough of them. Hubby has been making fruit smoothies at home for years. But we forgot to bring the blender when we went to San Francisco last fall, so had to buy fresh fruit juice from the stores and found they weren't bad.
When we were back to Victoria, I started to look for similar thick fruit juice in Walmart, and found one type that I like. So I thought I found my nectar of the gods, until I looked close last night and saw 25% sugar on the label!
Think about it this morning, the true nectar of the gods probably should be water that Mother Nature gives to humans and all the living things on earth. We are the lucky ones who can drink H2O directly from the kitchen tap, as there are people in the world who have no access to clean drinking water.
Ain't we blessed?
Amen!!!
