今年的感恩节，女儿去UK/Scotland玩，我们俩既没有朋友请我们去吃饭，也没有邀请人来家，更没有去看望任何人。两个人的日子冷冷清清，安安静静。这或许将是今后生活的主旋律吧。人生其实就是一步步走向沉寂的：）
倒是买了只火鸡，一卸六大块，卤了一大锅。拿了一盘切好片的鸡胸脯和一只很大的鸡腿送去给邻居A。剩下的除了两只翅膀带一点点鸡汤冰冻起来，四天里，两人风卷残云一扫光，汤汁做汤下面，鸡肉下饭。某人赞不绝口，说我的火鸡肉是所有他吃过的火鸡中最好吃的，又嫩又juicy。某人很挑的，得此称赞不易。
因为春节要回家过年，黑五早上一个人去淘货。去了一个outlet, 九点钟就见Nike的门外队伍如长龙，parking lot满满的找不到parking位。开远了些，总算有一个空一点的parking lot, 停好车，兴冲冲的，好像要撸起袖子大买一场的样子。去了Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy H, Calvin Klein内衣内裤店，Banana Republic。12点多。拎着大包小包出来，发现早上自己停车的parking lot 也是满满的没有停车位了。回家路上又拐进Costco，买了点东西，加了油。回家已一点多。这次Tommy H的deal比较好，买了不少，可惜买回来的东西被某人嫌--男士衬衣怎么可以没有口袋的，领子圆鼓隆冬的好土。。。下午四点多又去退货，想顺便再淘一把。原以为天快黑了，人会少些，却不知依然找不到parking位，队伍还是很长。就这样东排一下队，西再瞧一眼，一晃晚上八点多。被人催着回了家。
一天站下来走下来，脚后跟后来疼得厉害。被某人在一边念叨，为了省这几两碎银，花这么多时间，不值！
这个感恩节最高兴的还是自己动手，把一个煤气灶上最大的炉头给修好了。求人修，每次都要先被人教育一番，“做饭做菜不要溢出来，你看你把炉头给堵了，火苗才这么小的”。结果光听人教育，不见人修。最后还是“自己动手丰衣足食”，上YouTube找类似的录像看，再实践，bingo!
眼看四天的长假（某人三天，黑五还上班的）要结束了，总觉得这假过得太不像假了。周日下午快四点了，拉着某人去山顶看日落月升。
刚到时，月亮被云层遮住了大约半个小时，等它最后破云而出，那张圆圆的脸盘已挂在了半空。日落也是，因为云层，虽然没有十分的惊艳，却有满天晚霞被黑云缭绕的美。它们肆意地在天空挥霍着变化着，一会残阳如血，一会如水墨泼洒，一会轻纱曼舞, 一会凝重从容，仿佛在离别之际，要把它所有的妩媚妖娆全部奉献给天空，奉献给山川，奉献给喧嚣红尘中的世人。

到了我们的人生要谢幕时，我们会如何？
站在一边是月亮一边是落日，脚下是幽静辽阔海面的山顶，内心深处好像被一双手抚慰了一下。真希望余生的每一天都能如此这般的岁月静好！

On Black Friday, I went shopping. The outlet was thronged with holiday shoppers. The parking lot was fully packed. I joined the eager shoppers lining up to get in and check out. With heavy bags of seemingly great deals, I left the mall at noon, only to return in the late afternoon to shop more:) The mall was still swarmed with people, who waited patiently in the long line in the approaching darkness and cold. I came back home after 8 pm with sore heels, but hands full.
Towards the end of a quiet Thanksgiving, we went to the Top of the World to watch the moonrise and sunset. The Top of the World, though the name may sound riveting, is actually only the top of a mountain that is adjacent to the sea on one side, overlooking the city on the other. The top comes at the end of many uphill twists and turns of a mountainous road, which we found years ago when we hiked regularly.
On November 26th, the moon is forecast to rise at 4:11pm, while the sun to set at 4:43pm. We arrived around 4:20. The moon was nowhere to be seen yet. It must be shrouded behind the thick clouds. Luckily the sun was much stronger, the rays of which soon suffused over mountains and the skies, painting here and there on the sky canvas like moving strokes. The connected rugged mountains and peaceful sea, like the background of the painting, complement the beautiful sunset. They waited hand-in-hand to be bathed in the final golden touches before retreating to the darkness.
It's standing there, under the heaven, in the nature, that made me feel being away from the hustle-bustle of the city life beneath, from the running cars that glared by down in the valley. The moon finally broke out after about half an hour. The full moon, round and silver, contrasted the pink misty skies on the other side, the beauty of which beggared description.
