The Missouri court rendered a judgment on October 31 that the National Association of Realtors and two brokerage companies, Homeservices of America and Keller Williams Realty, must bear a compensation liability of $1.8 billion for conspiring to artificially inflate commissions, which could signify the beginning of the end of the way homes are bought and sold.
