APAD: Waste not, want not

Two sources say

- The less we waste, the less we need, and

- If you use a commodity or resource carefully and without extravagance you will

  never be in need.

That is, 'waste not' leads to 'want not.'

I was always under the false impression that the two were independent and

therefore sometimes said "want not, waste not," which could lead to confusion.

APAD straightened me out. Cheers! :-)
