Macro lens is a camera lens that allows you to focus extremely close to a subject so that it appears large in the final image. 

You know a regular camera lens can be turned into a macro lens when it is reversely connected to a camera body. Here are the sample photos.  

Camera: Olympus EPL2 , my first digital interchangeable lens camera, I traded it  for a newer OMD camera many years ago.
