I visited Field's Museum in Chicago a few years ago. They have a special exhibition about this. Religion and society make men into monogamous beings while scientific facts suggest that is not the case.

Men choose to be monogamous for many reasons, one of them, I guess，it is true love : ) , others, conform to social culture norm, financial reasons, religious reasons, convenience, compassion, or pure laziness : )
