Ever since I started working from home, I am trying to read and watch as many classical novels and movies as I can.

Today I watched the film “Cat in a hot tin roof”. It was written by Tennessee Williams who was a very famous American play writer. The story was about this young man Bribe's deep regret for his best friend’s  death, his difficult relationships with his wife Maggie and dying father.

Anyway, it’s a very complicated story. The wife Maggie described herself as a “Cat in a hot tin roof” ,

“What is the victory of a cat on a hot tin roof? “ Bribe asked.

Maggie: “ Just staying on it I guess, long as she can."

How would you  translate the idiom to Chinese? Is the idiom similar to ours:  “ ants on a hot pot”? Please tell me your thoughts.

Thank you for reading. Happy Friday!
