Trump vs. Biden

For Chinese Americans, Biden is a lesser evil for obvious reasons but particularly because: a)Trump’s racist instincts,more often than not, mar and err in his decision-making process when it comes to racial issues;  b) his inclinations to perceive China as an existential threat and Chinese Americans as Fifth Column are conducive for adversarial consequences.that spare few in the Chinese community; c) historically, majority of Chinese Americans are better served by a multicultural and progressive administration. In the final analysis, the irony of electing Trump by many Chinese Americans can be succinctly explained by a dichotomy—the elite are mistaken that Trump is a protector of  their hard earned or ill gained wealth, while the illiterate are misled that Trump is a liberator of their misfortune and misery. Both succumb to his chutzpah despite the opposite reality. Hence, a paradox: a victimizer supported by his victims. Shit happens sometimes.
