I understand your feelings full heartedly. It is nature's course, which is beyond the reach of our human power. You already did what you could have done. What our parents have done for us, we can never repay directly back to them. The only possible way for us to show our appreciation to our parents' and grandparents' devotion is to care our children and grandchildren the same way we have been cared. It can only be passed down.
