我愿做你刷子下的孤骛

写给倩文

Perhaps having followed me for some time the wind whispered to me:
"Love is in the west tower of the east town"
My springy gait quickly carried me to the west tower
But I descended empty-handed and so empty-hearted
The wind then leaped back and pointed to Mt Everest
Right away I packed hats, coats, cans, ropes, anchors and boots
I finally climbed to the mountain top
Only to see heavy snow stretch far before me
Now the impatient wind caught up and drew a path in the snow
And led me; waves were lashing when I reached the sea  

My limbs trembling I became doubtful: did the wind tease me?
Did the wind ever know where love was or what love was?
I had searched for love in liquid
I had searched for love in leaves
I had searched for love in ice
And I had searched for love in fire
While I was contemplating the wind pulled me
Shouted and nudged me upward:
A lone gliding goose in the glow of the sunset
Was vanishing into the vast blue
