These past few days, I've been busy shopping a big ticket item together with Ms. Diver. As it is customary to haggle for a better price for such items here, we had to learn the art of negotiation the real-world way. In the end, it turned out to be much less painful than it had looked like, and for sure the other party in the negotiation made the biggest difference. This experience also made one point amply clear: it pays to do some homework and know the bottom line beforehand in order to haggle with confidence.
