两种表达法都存在语法错误，因为， thinking about   必须和   I  遥相呼应。你可以这样写：

1。 Only a few of the current TV shows, to my surprise, have the potential to become classics. 
2.   Only a few of the current TV shows, in my opinion, have the potential to become classics. 
3.   When thinking about which current TV shows have the potential to become classics, I am surprised that only a few do.
