Jingyan, I visited your blog before, seeing the pictures of all kinds of flowers, fruits, and vegetables growing in your garden/yard. You truly have a green thumb! I am a botanist by training, but I don’t have many plants in or around my house. What a shame! Haha.
But we do have a magnolia tree in our front yard, which bears purple flowers just like yours. Ours has not bloomed yet and probably need another week or two. Magnolia trees always bloom before their leaves emerge in spring, an interesting thing from a botanist’s point of view.
BTW, I did not know 玉兰= 木兰 before.
