It can refer to the food that is served with or having the consistency of sauce.At the same time, it can describe someone being impertinently bold and impudent (MW). Because of the fighting between the girls, the chef is saying, I know the food is going to be saucy, but I didn't know it could be the kind of "sauciness" between the girls.
