Figures of speech（比喻法）1.1  

1. Hyperbole 夸张法

1.1 Adynaton = Imposible, unable

用不可能实现的夸张来作比喻就叫Adynaton。比如：

（1）Sure，I'll pay you when pigs fly!

（2）It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a sinner get into the kingdom of heaven.

（3）Hu*****and: I’m going to the strip club tonight. See you tomorrow morning.

     Wife: When pigs fly, it’s our anniversary!

     Hu*****and: Okay, I’ll be home at midnight then.
