黄河远上白云间，
一片孤城万仞山。
羌笛何须怨杨柳，
春风不度玉门关。
字面意思：
辽阔的高原上，黄河奔腾而来，远远向西望去，好像是从白云中流出来的一般,在高山大河的环抱下，一座地处边塞的孤城巍然屹立. 羌笛何必吹起《折杨柳》这种哀伤的调子，埋怨杨柳不发、春光来迟呢，要知道，春风吹不到玉门关外啊！
