迄今为止，中国建设世界一流航空业的目标尚未取得多少实际成效，但这并不是由于缺乏努力：中国正斥巨资研发新机型和建设航空基础设施，计划到2015年建设70座新机场，还有商用喷气式飞机C919，意欲和波音（Boeing）及空中客车（Airbus）的畅销机型相抗衡。
Until now, China's goal of building a world-class aviation industry has yet not achieved any substantial success, but this is not the result of lack-of-effort: China is spending huge amounts of money on developing new airplanes and constructing new aviation infrastructures, it plans to build 70 airports by 2015 as well as produce its own commercial jet C919 in order to compete with Boeing and Airbus.
