if you focus on more positive aspects, and you observe,pay more attention on other's strengths rather than weakness, you will see a brighter picture of the world.

in term of team work, you'll learn how to put others' strength in a proper use.

reading into things wouldn't help you be more open and happier.you tend to be more prejudice and judgemental.

by the way, congraduations on your new job. it is going to be challenging on your personality, but it will help you learn others from different perspectives.

Repecting the difference among people and respect others' values and believes will make you a more approachable professor.
