Sunshine boys VS Sunshine girls

In Toronto one of my friends told me that her brother once participated in the Sunshine Boys competition held by the local Chinese Tv station, and this  reminds me of the phrase of Sunshine girls. Sunshine girls, as they said(natives), refers to pinup girls, usually are those naked girls in the calendars, so I think we need to say it with cautions on this. So to jump to the conclution,literally,"sunshine girls" in Chinese are really different from the "sunshine gilrs" in English.  What is your opinion?
