ditch 沟 strike out/off 勾销

Strike out is harder than strike off, why?

strike off斬去, 刪去, 塗去, 扣除, 除去; [口]印刷, 當場畫[寫]

strike oil發現石油; [口]發橫財, 得到意外收穫

strike on打在...上, 撞在...上突然想到或發現

strike upon打在...上, 撞在...上突然想到或發現

 

strike out打擊, 打出; 刪去, 塗去; 想出, 創出; 擬出; 開始新生活, 走一條新的道; 路(游泳時)用手腳使勁劃; 跳出; [美](棒球)三擊不中退場

I struke this offhand is no way for some of those who are officers. If in an exaggerated words they are modern day " Gao Lishi".
