This email is being sent bbc to all staff:
At 4:25 p.m., April 3, 2012, a student notified staff at the Student Center on the Happy Valley Campus that he observed a male who may have had a weapon in his sweater or sweatshirt pocket. (He did not actually see a weapon.)
The student described the person of interest as tan-skinned, mid to late 20s, five feet six inches tall with short, black, slick-backed hair. The student further described the person of interest as having tattoos, a slight mustache and a goatee. The student said the person of interest was wearing an oversized black hooded sweater or sweatshirt, blue jeans and carrying a small backpack.
Public Safety initiated the Incident Command System and notified the H. V. Police Department(HVPD) . Incident Command conducted a campus-wide search for the person of interest and did not observe anyone matching the above description.
HVPD interviewed the student and concluded that no evidence of criminal activity exists.
