中国中央电视台英语节目在美国首都华盛顿开播。

中央电视台北美频道聘请了至少65名员工，使位于美国首都华盛顿的演播室展开运作。

美国航空航天局出台新预算。

在2013年预算中，航空航天局把重点放在让其商业宇航项目起步。
