If I have to pick on you, I think you are trying to read the entire paragraph without breathing, which is very hard for anybody.
Besides where the punctuations are, maybe try to pause briefly or very briefly where the bars are and no linkage when pause, that will give you a time to catch your breath and change your tone up and down accordingly.
