There are courses titled "Accent Reduction" or something similar ("American Accent Training"?), whose stated goals are to help ESL students to get rid of their accents and to acquire the fashionable American accent. I am very happy that I have not taken these courses :)
I am not worried, but I do notice that one's accent may change gradually over time. I guess I want to hold time still and not change any more :D
