 The earthquake shattered the Mediaeval Center at L’Aquila, razing the surrounding villages; the area of L’Aquila in the northeastern Rome appears like a battlefield.

动词用的是不错,但razing的分词形式不太好,应和shattered并列, 用过去时razed. 还有今天的"罗马东北的拉奎拉地区"都翻的不顺.
