查了字典，spur somebody on to do something

independent habit of ... --> habit of independent .... ?

BTW,谢谢愚公和文青，通过最近的一段强化英语学习，我觉得我最近说英语及英语表达水平明显提高。

今天开了一个conference meeting，在我的伶牙俐齿下（虽然刚下班到家，但今天很高兴，所以自夸一下），面对白人高手，侃侃而谈，顺利解决了一个棘手问题，他们接受了我的要求。真的很高兴。想想和大家的帮助分不开，不想张扬，所以在这里向你和文青还有同学们表示感谢。
