To be frank, back in college, my English really sucked although now it still sucks (maybe suck in a better way :)). At that time, there was no Internet; textbooks were so outdated; China Daily was the only English newspaper in the school library. See, “half a bottle of vinegar” is always a perfect whiner. :)
Anyway, I remember that once I wrote “social intercourse” in one book report, I was actually trying to express something like “social interaction”. Our foreign teacher, an odd-tempered divorcee from US, got really ticked off by that intercourse word and flunked me with a big F, which got me depressed for a whole week. Haha~~
If I have learned something in English, it’s all learned here except some grammar knowledge I picked up in early years.
Got to run. Catch up with you gals later~
