I guess I didn't state it clearly. What I referred to Hong Kong was the human greedy, the desire to gain $ from the housing, which I hated very much because lots of people lost their life savings just because of it, the peak time for the housing price was 1997 and now 8 years later the price is still lower than that.
I'd rather like buyers are the people who actually live in the houses vs. the investors. If the dominate buyers are the investors, then I am not going to enter the market because it is another Hong Kong. I am afraid that it is the case at this point of time, at least in Bay Area.
Anyway, this is my own personal opinion.
