APAD: Men never remember, women never forget

"Men never remember, women never forget" is a common phrase often used to describe perceived differences in how men and women recall personal or emotional events.  Research suggests women often recall emotional experiences more vividly, while men tend to forget minor daily details or emotional interactions. This is not a absolute rule but a generalization often linked to biological and neuroscientific differences.

Origin:
The phrase is popularized by pioneer in gender-specific medicine Dr. Marianne J. Legato's 2005 book "Why Men Never Remember and Women Never Forget".

Another perspective, such as from Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, sometimes frames this as: "Men forget, but never forgive; women forgive, but never forget". 什么

What 7G joked the other day about the confusion in his household reminded me of what another person said to me that I don't understand men, a few days ago in another WXC forum.

My first thought then was to protest, and protest strongly: I grew up in a family with brothers; I played most boy's games and climbed up the walls/trees when young; My best girl friend since age 4 has boyish personality; The engineering schools I went through were mostly men; And the last group of co-workers I worked with for 8 years in Cisco were all men. I never felt like a fish out of water at any time. So I should know.

But, I said nothing ...

IMHO, the phrase "Men never remember, women never forget" might be true sometimes, but shouldn't be a general rule applying to all, be it men or women.

Alright, I admit that I like to laugh and cry, and talk a bit more (than the other two APAD regular hosts, even with single leg stance 呵呵)

Let's forgive and forget the unimportant thingy, and remember to be happy.

And, have a good Monday!
