I have a different philosophy about "a" "an" "the". I believe they are part of the language that can truely give away your "accent", not the size of your vocabulary or usage of GRE words, but small words like "a, an and the" and other small words like at, from, on. It's not an obsession. It's a strive to reduce my "accent".
