奥巴马让我（铁杆民主党）disappointed！

这次美国两党的debt ceiling谈判就这么以民主党让步，只砍政府的spending，而不增加富人的税收场，太过分了！我其实一向支持政府收支平衡的。但收支平衡该从税收增加和减少政府开支两方面着手。

 

从中产阶级的角度看，你交的社会安全保险税，到你退休的时候拿不回来或回报远远不如你的投入，这实际上是把社会安全保险税收当成了income tax！富人的收入，超过十一万的工资部分不用交社会安全保险税，他们的投资所得（capital gain/dividend)也不交，他们当然乐意不增税；真正的穷人从政府那里拿到的社会安全保险福利超过他们的付出，也是受益者。中产又是这次两党政争的受害者！

 

中产实际上是生活在一个幻象里--拼命挣钱来维持现有的生活：一幢房子两部车，但政府拿掉你每一分收入的12。5%（考虑雇主的match-up)作为社会安全税，说你以后退休了有保障，但钱却被政府用来补贴政府的财政窟窿。到你退休的时候，政府的承诺能兑现吗？你知道退休的时候还有没有社会安全保障是个大问题，你还得拼命为退休存钱，期望退休后保持目前的生活水准。拼命呀拼命，就为着那个憧憬。。。

 

共和党真正在乎政府收支平衡吗？它当政的时候，发动战争还减税；看看历史，有多少国家或政府在战争期间减税的？

对富人的税收真的太高吗？现实是美国的贫富悬殊在现有税收体制下却越来越大。税收的一大功能本来就是平衡社会财富分配的。当贫富悬殊越来越大的时候，我真地不知道这个税收制度是怎么偏向穷人的。

中产阶级该支持的税收体制是在把社会安全保险考虑进去的前提下，用flat tax rate--22%。富人不是抱怨他们的税率太高吗？把投资所得作为regular income,他们没有这个特殊的treatment，也就和所有人一样交flat rate了；穷人也没有什么抱怨的，在flate rate 下，90%的政府税收还会是从富人而来。只有这样，中产阶级才能真正的松口气，不必在两党政争中成为牺牲品。
